Position Summary - Oilfield Services
The job of field sales representative involves sourcing potential customers and maximizing the sales of the company's services and products. This is often done by cold calling, scheduling meetings at field offices, customer offices/locations and job sites as well as other establishments. The job requires the ability to properly assess a customer's need.
Reports To: STX Regional Manager
Position
Responsibilities:
Present and sell company services and products to current and potential clients
Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
Establish and maintain current customer and potential customer relationships
Work with company operations management to accomplish the work required to close sales
Develop reports on all calls and responses
Attend sales training and sales meetings as required
Keep records and conduct market research
Required Skills and
Experience:
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Sufficient engineering or technical knowledge to make complex engineering and economic decisions to convince potential buyers of the practical value of the product or service
Extensive sales experience
Self-motivator and self-starter
Able to work closely with fellow co-workers and clients
Microsoft Office
1 - 5 years of sales experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
