GS-13:
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess on year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, performing duties such as:
Collaborating with management to identify program requirements and propose recommendations to fulfil those requirements; Identifying available resources such as funding, staffing, materials, supplies, and equipment and processing requisitions as appropriate; Planning and/or conducting special studies related to the acquisition lifecycle; Monitoring contract progress to ensure that objectives and milestones are established and met in a timely manner; and Preparing briefings and/or presentations on the status of project plans communicating findings and recommendations as appropriate. GS-14:
You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess on year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, performing duties such as:
Serving as an authoritative source on the various stages of the acquisition lifecycle, responding to sometimes complex and technical requests for information from management, staff, contractors, and other stakeholders; Initiating and conducting studies to improve the effectiveness of procurement/contract administration/service level agreements and monitoring cost, schedule and performance of all assigned contracts; Submitting certified invoices and vouchers to the appropriate financial and/or contracting officials to ensure timely, accurate and prompt payment; Developing and conducting requirements analysis, cost estimates, cost/benefit analysis for the organization; and Compiling data and assimilating information to present to higher level management in the form of briefings, comprehensive reports, or other correspondence; providing recommendations for improved project/program effectiveness and efficiency. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Current or Former Political Appointees:
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
